E.V Waddington Ltd. has asked Weddle Landscape Design to carry out a Phase 1 Ecological Habitat Survey for the site at Forge Way, Parkgate, Rotherham, S60 1SL. The site location is shown below. The Ecological Assessment has been undertaken to inform proposals for a commercial development.
The site is a cleared development plot with sparse and limited vegetation. The development plot slopes steeply down on the North, South, and West to a fast flowing drainage ditch, the banks of which are covered with a mix of scrub, young woodland and ruderal vegetation. At the top of the embankment Amphibian and Reptile fencing has been erected.
