Yesterday New Era Square was unanimously approved by Sheffield City Councillors.  Phase 1 is due to begin this summer, with a target to complete the entire scheme in three years. The site off St Mary’s Road and Bramall Lane will include a business incubator for start-up firms with exhibition hall. Phase 1 – which involves major Chinese investment – will include a 21-storey tower of flats for 700 students as well as private apartments above a public square, shops and offices.

“We are absolutely delighted that New Era Square has been granted planning approval. This is the culmination of many years of hard work so it is the best possible news we could have hoped for.”
