Long Rake Spar Approved

We’ve just received notice from the Peak District National Park Authority approving our application to develop the Long Rake Spar Quarry site with additional buildings.

The ongoing operation of the site required an expansion of the building facilities for mineral handling. Working alongside David Sutherland Architects of Buxton our role was to consider the Landscape and Visual Impact of the proposed development on the National Park. We assessed a number of public viewpoints and proposed a series of mitigation measures to reduce the impact of the proposed development to acceptable levels. We also provided a long term woodland and landscape management plan which considers the ongoing threat for Chalara Ash Dieback.
