UK Ambassador On Site

Ma Zhengang, former Chinese ambassador to the UK (1997-2002), visited the International Horticultural Exhibition 2014 Qingdao on May 26 accompanied by Li Fengli, secretary-general of the expo executive committee.“The global design of the Qingdao Expo suits perfectly its theme, ‘From the earth, for the Earth,’ and fully displays the beauty and elegance of Qingdao”

The visit covered the Botanical Pavilion and International Garden. He was impressed by the aquarium in the Botanical Pavilion, which is the first attempt to add a “marine” element to a world-class horticultural exposition.

Ma spoke highly of the British Park for its natural style and the perfect recreation of local British garden features.
