Winter Ecological Surveys

With September gone the 2015 Bat Activity Survey period has come to a close but don’t forget that we can still undertake Preliminary Bat Roost Assessments and Phase 1 Habitat Surveys at any time of the year.

Preliminary Bat Roost Assessments when carried out will often demonstrate bat absence, which will satisfy to your local authority that your development application does not pose any risk to bats or their roosting places. If we cannot confirm complete absence of bats, evidence of their activity and suitable habitat, your local authority may ask you for a Bat Activity Survey. If this is the case we can ensure that you are scheduled in for the start of the activity survey season in 2016.

Our Phase 1 Habitat Survey includes a habitat plan along with a written report that documents the survey results, habitats, assessment details and recommendations including a clear, concise non-technical summary.
