IKEA Sheffield – Progress

The new IKEA near Meadowhall in Sheffield is progressing at a rapid pace. In just a couple of months half of the building frame and floors have been constructed. Cladding and roofing has just commenced. Weddles have been involved with this project since assisting with the planning application back in 2013. Following a long planning process permission was finally granted in January 2015.

We are pleased to announce that the National Churches Trust have launched the MaintenanceBooker website and we have been selected as a supplier of Tree Survey and Tree Risk Assessment services.

Moorside Nuclear Power Station

Weddles were responsible for all Sellafield projects from 1977 to 2000. This year NuGen launched an International Design Competition for a landscape scheme, including significant earth bunds and mounds. The foreground waste screen mounds are our original concept for the redevelopment of Windscale.

Long Rake Spar Approved

We’ve just received notice from the Peak District National Park Authority approving our application to develop the Long Rake Spar Quarry site with additional buildings.

New Era Square Underway

We’re excited to see that the New Era Square project has started onsite – the excavators are out clearing the old slabs and foundations. This site has been derelict for many years so we’re pleased to see things progressing. We’re working with New Era Developments, Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson Architects and Bowmer & Kirkland Contractor. 

New Homes in Sheffield Green Belt

Sheffield City Council have approved an application to build 88 new of homes in Sheffield’s Green Belt. The site is the currently derelict former Dyson Refractories ceramics factory on Stopes Road, Stannington
