BREEAM Excellent

Weddles had been working extensively over the past few years in BREEAM assessments, assisting many schemes to achieve EXCELLENT standard. This rating puts the developments in the Top 10% of UK new non-domestic buildings. We can consult on all environmental sections of BREEAM, but are expert in maximising the 10 potential credits available from section 11 – Land Use and Ecology.  Read more →

Nanjing Mountain Tourism Competition

Weddles are one of three selected winners of Nanjing Nuishoushan Buddhist Mountain landscape design completion. We are now working on three roads and three hills project design, intended to give millions of visitors a natural landscape experience at this international tourist destination. Nanjing is building a £200 million hilltop temple to house an ancient relic of the first Buddha, which is unique in China. Weddles are working on the west entrance and the ecological areas of the scheme. Read more →

Pizhou – The Worlds Longest Tree Avenue

As part of our green space masterplan for the expansion of Pizhou City, Weddles have identified a high value landscape asset which will be carefully protected. Pizhou’s 47Km long avenue of Dawn Redwood make it a world record. Dawn Redwood was discovered in China in 1944, and became the most famous ‘fossil tree’ of the last century. Read more →
