Qingdao Horticultural Expo: British Garden

Weddles are very proud to have been selected to design the British Garden for the 2014 International Horticultural Expo in Qingdao, China. It will be one of 35 international gardens measuring 1500m2 and will showcase the best of British Gardens.  It will be open to the public for 6 months with an expected 10 million visitors. Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Campus

The new student residences “Christina Miller Hall” at the Heriot-Watt Riccarton Campus have now been completed. The building offering 270 high specification bedrooms to students of the university is framed by a stylish and modern landscape which complements the clean lines of the building. Read more →

Green Flag for Heriot-Watt University

Heriot-Watt University is today celebrating a prestigious award for its green campus. It has become the first Scottish university to receive a Green Flag Award.

Broomhill Infant School Nature Garden

Broomhill Infant School in Sheffield has started to create the nature garden designed by Chartered Landscape Architect Lu Zhong.

Lu’s competition winning design was created with help from all her colleagues at Weddle Landscape Design, and combines a wide variety of sensory experiences within a tiny area. The children will be allowed to touch, feel, smell and get close to this beautiful garden.

Chenzhou Mixed Use

We are preparing a concept design for a massive 17ha mixed use development site in Chenzhou, Hunan province, China. The site will provide 4500 new apartments, european style gardens and a shopping mall all within the new city centre of this rapidly growing city. Its rare to find such a huge empty site at the heart of a city; it was previously a military car factory and test track. Read more →

Qingdao Plant Pavilion Pavilion

In 2014 the City of Qingdao, Shangdong, China, will host the World Horticultural Expo. Weddles have been involved with the design of the main Plant Pavilion.

Pizhou City Masterplanning

Pizhou, Jiangsu, China is currently developing its 20 Year City Masterplan . The city has aspirations to be included as a National Landscape City – to achieve this a number of criteria must be met during the Masterplanning process.
